The Chicago Alfa Romeo Owners Club and Lotus Corps invite you to participate in the Carl Grabowski Driver’s Education and Lapping Day at Blackhawk Farms on Saturday, June 13th, 2026.
Registration and tech inspection will begin at 7AM.

No matter your experience level or what you drive, you’re welcome here. From complete beginners to seasoned drivers—and from daily drivers to high-performance machines—all makes, models, and skill levels are encouraged to participate.
🚦 Perfect for Beginners
If you’ve ever been curious about driving on a real track, this is your moment. Our Green (Novice) Group is designed specifically for drivers with little to no experience. You’ll get:
- Professional classroom guidance
- In-car instruction
- A supportive, low-pressure environment
All entrants in the novice (Green) group get a special discounted price!
Green/Group C – $314
Green run group is for those with little to no track driving experience. Classroom and in-car instruction will be provided for those that need it..
🏁 More Track Time, More Fun
We’ve redesigned the day to maximize your time on track:
6 sessions for Green group (beginners)
7 sessions for experienced drivers in the RED and YELLOW groups
Open lapping morning and afternoon
A relaxed 45-minute touring session at noon (open to all participants and volunteers)
Whether you’re looking to build confidence behind the wheel or finally check “track day” off your bucket list, this event is built to welcome you in and get you hooked.

On track activities will wrap up at 6PM.
All drivers, even those who are only doing Lunchtime Touring, must register. Thank you!
The format will be open lapping by class in the morning and afternoon.
- There will be a touring session at noon. The noon touring session will run for approximately 45 minutes and is open to our event volunteers and paid participants.
- On track activities will wrap up at 6pm.

Safety requirements for Lapping/Time Trial are as follows:
- Car must pass safety tech inspection
- Helmets (Snell 2015 min) and seat belts are required
- Loaner helmets available with advance notice (Track rentals available also)
- Roll bar required in all open top cars, extending at least 2 inches above drivers helmet with driver in place.
